The original Switch came out in March of 2017 with a $299 price tag. Leaks and rumors suggest the Switch 2 could release in June of 2025. The price will likely fall somewhere between $399 and $499 USD.

Nintendo has finally revealed the Switch 2 — but it didn’t reveal everything. Even still, the new console looks pretty much like a bigger, more refined Switch. Sure, that’s the straightforward and expected move from Nintendo. But it’s also exactly what I’ve been waiting for.

The issue really being that the Switch from 2017 has shown its age, and its successor should be held to the same standard as other modern consoles. With the move to higher performing hardware and the popularity of digital marketplaces,
