Crozer Health caregivers are demanding that the two Delaware County hospitals remain open while a new owner is found.

Pennsylvania’s healthcare system is facing a period of escalating instability, marked by a troubling combination of hospital closures, financially driven service reductions and a wave of layoffs across major health systems.

Emergency rooms at two Delaware County hospitals stopped accepting patients on. It's all part of the expedited shutdown of the hospital system owned by Prospect Medical Holdings. A judge approved the closure plan on Tuesday.
