Jayda Bell of Park Vista High School only started participating in sports a year ago. However, she has already qualified for state in two sports and is drawing interest from colleges.

A seventh-grader from Hickory Christian academy also won the state championship in the 500-yard freestyle and took second in the 200-yard Individual medley.
