The Wichita area could see a blend of hail, high gusts, record heat and thunderstorms in the coming days, starting with the potential for severe weather Wednesday night.

Wind is pushing smoke across K-96 just west of I-235 in northwest Wichita from a contained landfill fire just south of that area, Sedgwick County officials said in a news release Wednesday morning.

Sedgwick County voters will soon weigh in on another school bond in the Goddard School District. USD 265 is asking voters to approve a $196 million bond.
