George Russell picked up his first win of the 2025 F1 season on Sunday, winning the Canadian Grand Prix for the Mercedes F1 Team.

Qualifying was a thrilling fight for pole position on Saturday with Russell snatching glory out of the hands of world champion Verstappen.

After a hearing involving both teams, Russell, Verstappen, and the FIA, the stewards found the protest admissible but ultimately dismissed it, saying the protest was “not founded.”
