Marcus Smart’s future is up in the air, and the Miami Heat are officially in the mix. The former NBA Defensive Player of the Year is expected to be on the move this offseason, with multiple teams vying for his services.
This isn’t exactly breaking news, but the Miami Heat probably won’t end up acquiring Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. This is according to John Gambadoro, the afternoon drive host on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM in Phoenix. Gambadoro let the cat out of the bag and mentioned that the Suns have received better offers than what the Heat can offer.
The Memphis Grizzlies stunned the NBA world when they traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic on Sunday, but moving Ja Morant would be an even more shocking move.
"Miami has prioritized pursuits of Giannis Antetokounmpo (if he became available this summer) and Durant (whom they’re actively trying to acquire) on their wish list ahead of Kuminga, who’s viewed as a fallback option to the two superstars," wrote Scotto.
