Dec 14, 2020 · My Ilama bore fruit for the first time this year (2) and I waited for them to crack on the tree before I harvested. They cracked and fell but the fruit was quite hard. I kept it waiting for them to get soft, they never did and eventually began to rot.

May 9, 2012 · Yes, I realize the Lisa is not an Atemoya seedling, I recall the Exotica fake Ilama having cracking fruit and gold in color which makes me believe it is a Lisa. The one labeled Red Atemoya from Exotica was more conical like a Geffner.

Feb 27, 2024 · Have any of you successfully grown Ilama from seed into a mature tree? I've had two failed experiences with Ilama so far. 1. I got seeds. Germinated them quickly and easily after soaking in GA3. All was going well up until they were on their 2nd or 3rd set of leaves. The plants were between 5 and 15 cm when they suddenly got sick.

Apr 19, 2017 · What a shame something has changed and I cant seem to add images any more.I will try on another computer later and see how that goes.Anyway an ilama seedling I passed on to a friend less than 3 years ago is fruiting well now and fruit are red fleshed and luscious.I think it is a red genova but there are 2 other options from the seeds I obtained.

Jul 19, 2022 · Thank you, Using one ilama seedling tree I have, the ilama pollen on a green squamosa seedling creates deformed fruits with no viable seeds. I’m trying other ilama pollen this season and so far fruit deformity has not occured on green or red fruit squamosa. We’ll see.

Sep 11, 2017 · It is beautiful. I envy your annonas collection. I have the red ilama but I don't have any other type of ilama. All of your ilama grafts failed maybe it was too hot and I didn't have enough shades. I'm looking forward to more of your scions in the spring. If you have other types please tell us in details.

Oct 12, 2024 · The whites tended to be kind of plain, just sweet, cakey texture, but we did have one that looked just like an Atemoya as far as fruit shape went but was as you explain, almost citrusy balance of sour / sweet and it was an absolute winner of a fruit. I need to get the seeds shipped to me somehow. They’re well aged and ready to plant.
