Ramphal and sitaphal are making a slow comeback into the Indian fruits market. Ramphal is also known as custard apple or bullock’s heart, but less popular than that of Sitaphal. The fruit is sweet and pleasant, varies in shape. Sitaphal or sugar apple is also known as custard apple in India, most widely grown in Maharashtra.

The pulp of Sitaphal and Ramphal are segmented and white coloured, smooth with a good aroma. Sitaphal is a little more round in shape and in the brown shade whereas Ramphal is heart shaped with red highlights.
