This makes just about all stream deck plugins usable on this device. It works great! I have used this device to stream, change voice, soundboard, open any app I want, use any hotkey, and many more things. The only thing that it does not do that the Stream Deck does that I'm aware of is be able to play GIFS on a button.

Nov 11, 2021 · Stream Deck is a customizable keyboard thing. I think you're thinking of the Steam Deck. Not disagreeing with you, though. As a teacher, I am grateful that the netbook craze is over. I had hundreds of students who installed SW on their Eee PC's and other netbook-like things.

Dec 24, 2023 · The stream deck xl is significantly dimmer than the regular stream deck at max brightness that its not even half as bright. Other than listing it as usb 3 no where does it say it requires it to be plugged into a usb 3 port. I have it plugged into a usb 2 port and it has never overloaded or functioned any differently than the regular stream deck.

I've actually been thinking of making a bootleg stream deck using a spare keyboard and this guide. I'd print out little icons, laminate with clear packing tape, cut out, and attach them to the keys with double sided tape. It might work better with laptop style flat keys.

Dec 7, 2020 · I can't see any reason it wouldn't work either but I've found a few old threads asking the same question with the majority of answers claiming it outright doesn't work for hotkey combos. Reading into it a bit more however seems to suggest this was an issue with the stream deck software at the time as opposed to a flat out incompatibility.
