Dec 4, 2024 · Hi all, I'm not so familiar with pvc conduit having used it very little in the past. However, I have a small workshop/man-cave to wire, it is attached to a small domestic dwelling. I need to wire this part using 20mm conduit. I have a few questions: 1: Am I right in thinking I can wire multiple circuits together in the same conduit?

Aug 14, 2015 · Using VFD's on old single phase motors is likely to end in tears for several reasons. If I was doing this as a project I'd look at replacing the single phase motor with a 3-phase one then I'd use a VFD that had a single phase 230v input and a 400v 3-phase output, it would be a much better end result.

The curious thing is though, that the instructions for the controller do say that the controller should be set to 'comfort' (the sort of sun symbol) for the heaters background mode to work. see the trouble shooting part of the guide here:

This would last for maybe a couple of hours, during which time he claimed that touching the switch would give little shocks, which seemed to be from the switch rather than the (metal) switch plate.

May 3, 2011 · That's no reason to condem it. I don't think anyone would claim it's a good installation (certainly not from a mechanical protection perspective). But technically nothing wrong with it. Perhaps he thinks that the "voltage is leaking" PMSL, I bet if you ask him he thinks voltage flows down cables as well!!

Mar 20, 2017 · UKPN came out last week and did some tests. They confirmed the EFLI reading as fluctuating between 6 and 11.5. The main earth in my house is clamped to an incoming pipe and the UKPN guy confirmed my setup was TN-S (can post a couple of photos if helpful).
