Nov 5, 2024 · The audio mix does sound like it has some dynamic range compression baked in as it sounded quite flat. Even the bass felt a bit lacklustre, the only time I really noticed the low end was during the destruction of the factory/power plant with the fire tornado, it felt quite absent throughout most of the movie, which wasn't the case at the cinema.

Apr 1, 2024 · Just reading that quoted interview makes me smile. Having the director come in and be part of the 4K restoration makes this all the more special. And I know Jan De Bont will make it right!! I've been waiting a long time for Twister to be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray. That movie influenced me in becoming a meteorologist.

Jul 19, 2024 · I held off buying the original Twister (1996) 4K, hoping there would be a double-feature with the new Twisters 4K. It looks like they might be doing that for the 2K Blu-rays, but I haven't seen anything yet with the 4K releases.

Jul 21, 2024 · Twisters is getting better reviews than the original, many saying it's better than the original. Perhaps a factor, besides personal taste of any given reviewer of course, is that the disaster film genre is not over-saturated today like it was in the 90s.
