Two Oakland police officers exchanged gunfire with an unidentified person after 4 p.m. on Feb. 24 near the 1000 block of 92nd Ave.No officers were wounded. The person suspected of shooting at the police sustained “minor injuries” but wasn’t struck by gunfire,

The Oakland Police Department has now confirmed their officers exchanged gunfire with a suspect who was allegedly making threats with a handgun on Monday afternoon.

Oakland police said they were able to take the suspect into custody. He was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. In accordance with the department's policy, the officers involved in the incident were placed on paid administrative leave, Oakland police said. No officers were injured.
